An inspiring vinyl colour story
Build tomorrow’s caring spaces on a foundation of creativity and functionality with the Tarkett iQ collection and ProtectWall.
The Tarkett iQ collection draws on decades of experience and innovation to make them more usable, inspirational and applicable than ever before.
At the end of its life, 100% of the product can be uplifted and reused again and again.
iQ products are made from the very best materials, to contribute to healthy environments. Its compact composition has strength and longevity capable of withstanding the toughest conditions – one of the reasons it’s often found in high wear situations like hospitals, schools and other social spaces.
The nature of the material allows for perfect installation and reparation, using a unique dry-buffing maintenance and restoration system. Its sealed surface and unique treatment gives best-in-class protection for decades against marks and stains.
The use of the iQ collection is especially relevant when hygiene and infection prevention are paramount, in applications like health or aged care.
The homogeneous structure and surface treatment ensure outstanding resistance to stains or scratches from heavy traffic.
This product is a genuine homogeneous flooring with a 2mm wear layer, lasting for 30 years and more, based on EPD data.
- Damaged areas are easily repaired by heat-welding in a replacement piece.
- A watertight finish with outstanding seam strength prevents joints from opening. Coving and perfectly sealed joints also eliminate traps for dirt or dust.
- Multi-colour welding rods for seamless finishing are available in a range of contrasting colours coordinated with flooring pattern designs.
- Renewable through iQ’s unique dry-buffing restoration system. No water or chemicals, just buff the surface to restore its original properties and look.
A hygienic solution for demanding healthcare environments.
-
The smooth surface of the product and its unique surface treatment offers an “excellent cleanability”, validated by the Fraunhofer Riboflavin test. It is resistant to disinfectants and antiseptics used in healthcare settings, including Quaternary ammoniums, Alcohol, Bleach and Hydrogen Peroxide.
-
This high efficiency in cleaning and disinfection protocols designates the iQ range as an ideal solution to ensure proper Infection Protection Control.
-
The product can be installed in the most demanding environments such as ISO 4 cleanrooms (ISO14644-1). The iQ range does not favour bacteria growth (according to ISO 846/C) and does not contain any biocide.
The iQ collection offers a range of technical options:
- Sound reduction to limit noise and ensure better living and working conditions. Where noise needs to be controlled, iQ Granit Acoustic offers a reduction of 15dB.
- Slip resistance for both bare feet and shoes, specifically in wet areas. Granit Safe.T offers a unique construction where particles are embedded throughout the whole construction of the product. This ensures its anti-slip qualities to make safety last for decades.
- Reducing static discharge, as electrostatic and electrical discharges can be dangerous to people and also damage sensitive equipment.
- Granit SD has an electrical resistance of R1 ≤108Ω (EN 1081).
Toro SC has a resistance between R1 5x104Ω and106Ω (EN1081).
Conductive fibres are dispersed throughout the whole construction so the effect will last over the product’s lifespan. The ‘treatment’ does not migrate and is not humidity-sensitive.
iQ consists of 7 collections, now available in 230 colours.
Supported by a wealth of accessories, including colour welding rods, the iQ range represents a multi-format approach compatible with acoustic, slip-resistant and static-control environments. This flexibility means you can create a single surface for a variety of moods and needs without compromising on performance.
