The Pavilion at Burlington Lifestyle Village
Located in the peaceful suburb of Redwood, Christchurch, Burlington Lifestyle Village is redefining retirement living. This premier village offers an array of resort-style facilities and services designed to provide residents with comfort, luxury, and convenience.
At the heart of the Village is the Pavilion, a central hub that combines elegant architecture with state-of-the-art amenities. Designed by award-winning +MAP Architects, the Pavilion reflects the high standards of innovation and style central to Burlington’s vision. This modern facility serves as the core of the village, offering entertainment that includes an indoor pool, gym, cinema, restaurant and bar.
Mostra Design collaborated with the clients and architects to create an iconic interior with a British Colonial theme. A sophisticated palette of colours and textures paired with statement European lighting and wallpapers create a rich tapestry.
The mood is elegant, stately and conversational, with the presence of a grand piano and bespoke artwork that add to the pavilion's old-world charm. Ryan Twomey from Mostra Design worked closely with Acorn Furniture to deliver custom pieces that create an original and cohesive look throughout the Pavilion.
Jacobsen provided a range of flooring options that balance aesthetic appeal with the practical requirements of aged care, ensuring a functional and comfortable environment for residents.
Langhorne Hut textured multi-level loop pile carpet is featured in various lounge areas, its hard-wearing linear design, high resistance to stains and suitability for wheelchairs making it the ideal choice for an aged care application.
The dark timber and marble trim of the staircase contrasts against the deep green Dye Lab carpet, finished by bespoke brass stair nosings from Tredsafe, with accents of Shaw Contract’s commercial Scepter II broadloom carpet in Basil bringing the space together.
Also featured is a range of Tarkett commercial vinyl products in areas where safety and ease of maintenance were priorities, ensuring the flooring is fit-for-purpose for the aged care setting.
