Hastings Health Centre, designed by Architecture HDT Hawkes Bay Limited, aimed to create a world-class, integrated, primary health care facility to service 30,000 patients and whanau. This area had a range of spaces to cover including reception, urgent care, radiology, ultrasound, pharmacy, laboratory, dentist, physiotherapy, nursing suites and consulting rooms. Bold colours add vibrancy to the space and are used to aid people in wayfinding. Biophilia is woven into the fabric of the design to connect the occupants more closely to nature and the long-term sustainability of the Shaw and Tarkett products means they fit perfectly into the needs of the space.
