GameOn

Anna Gallagher, the architect behind this project, saw it as an opportunity to elaborate on the playfulness and digital elements of the arcade environment.

The brief was for something funky and functional that would suit the semi-industrial space with exposed ceilings and pillars. It is important to note that the flooring had to be able to withstand high foot traffic and not show stains.

A range of Shaw carpet tiles were used to meet the brief with the basis of the design being in Shaw Virtual Spaces collection, Augment Energise and Vibe with pops of colour from the Colour Frame collection. The Shaw Virtual spaces were used for their inherent stain resistance, while their bright colours brought playfulness, promoting wayfinding, and allowing patrons to explore the games arena throughout the arcade.

The Jacobsen range was chosen due to their reliable reputation and suitable selection of products and colours reflecting the requirements for design and durability.
