Lytton High Hall
The refurbishment of Te Hīnātore at Lytton High School, completed in 2024, has transformed the hall into a versatile venue for the school and the Gisborne community. Designed by Architects 44 in collaboration with local artist Simon Lardelli, the interior celebrates local narratives and natural elements, featuring Lardelli's mahi toi (artwork). Jacobsen supplied carpet tiles in patterns and colours that complement the storytelling within the space, mirroring the movement of waves and light.
Rangiora High School Whare
The opening of Rangiora High School’s new cultural centre, Te Ao Mārama, marked a significant milestone for both the school and its community. Designed by Stufkens + Chambers Architects, the interior of the new whare combines simplicity and functionality, featuring a palette of warm timber, cool sage, forest and neutral grey tones. Jacobsen provided carpet tiles and safety vinyl in calming green shades, which support focus and learning, creating a versatile and welcoming environment that accommodates both cultural and educational activities.
